Is anybody running 22" rear tires on their 400ex?I have a set of 22" Holeshot XCT's I was going to put on my quad to get a little more ground clearance at some local rocky trails I ride.I was just wondering how much higher it will make the gearing and take away from my low end power.Any input is appreciated.

I ran 22's last year on my 400ex and raced all of the GNCC races. THey did great. In fact I am running them on my 450R now. According to the gear calculator I got they increase the top speed by several miles.

You will lose a bit of low end grunt. But a 14 tooth front sprocket will bring the ratio back close to stock.

yuuuup

Even with my 416 motor I felt a 14 is necessary with 22 rears. Especially if your a trail rider with lots of hills..:eek2:
