Does anyone know a place that makes a aluminum 400ex sub frame with a removable grab bar?? Or anyone that makes an aftermarket subframe anyways?? What is the cheapest place and where can I get one?? Thanks

There isnt really a cheap place to get an aftermarket subframe. Aftermarket subframes are all around $300. I would just buy a stock subframe from Marcums for about $120 and have it gusseted

There is nothing wrong with my stock one ! I just dont like it i dont want all the tabs for tool box and stuff! And I want a removable sub frame! I wonder if i could grind off the tabs powdercoat it and cut the grab bar off and mount my own grab bar?? Anybody ever try this??

I know that PRM sells grab bars. They have all the different styles (desert, baja, standard, and 6 pack). To run their bars, they sell some tabs that you have to weld on. Where the lower subframe tube comes up and is smushed and welded to the horzontal, you cut the grab bar there and weld the tabs on above that spot.

i bent and then cracked my stock sub frame. the 4130 tubing used in after market sub frames is MUCH stronger then stock.a guy i see at the races who races like every weekend says he broke a few of them, he was sponsored by a local shop and was even getting them at a discount and finally decided to buy a laeger and he hasnt broken or bent it in over a year.

I don`t think Laeger is making SubFrames anymore.

Smokin, Is your Stock SubFrame messed up? I wouldn`t buy a Aftermarket one unless you Bent or Broke the Stock One.

i bent it when i wrecked really hard on the main roads in 5th gear wide open..no fun...it was bent so i bent it back but then i chopped it off and put homemade tabs and a grab bar on it..looks like crap..starting to rust. i would like to trade my shocks for a lsr subframe and an exhuast. later

Man that Sounds like it would Hurt. If nobody will Trade, you could Buy a New Stock SubFrame and have it Gusseted. I like Laeger, but I`m not sure if Laeger is making the SubFrames right now. TMM also makes a SubFrame. Just Look around.
