holeshot xc's :macho I've had mine for a year and there's still about 35% thread left. and i ride about 2-3 hours every day.

22" dirt devils, I had them for almost a year on my other 400ex & they lasted FORVER & ride strets alot plus trails & mud..the 22"s gives you better ground clearance & top speed

i just got a pair of mudsharks and they are bomb on the trails. they grab traction no matter what, although the pricetag almost made my wallet have a heart attack

Kenda Knarly's. excellent grip and good sliding characteristics and the price can't be beat.

Kenda Knarly's. They are the best trail tire I have ever used.

Hands down the BEST trail tire is a set of RAZR 2'S. They are the BEEFIEST tire around and the tread pattern is SICK. The knobs are huge and they extend on the sidewall to dig you out of ruts and what not. They perform well in all terrain but really shine in the softer stuff where the massive treads throw CHUNKS of baseball size roost aat your riding buddies. The holeshot XCR '03's are ok, but not as good as the razr's at all. Thats why ITP just came out with the Holeshot H-D with a big tread pattern and sidewall knobs after they saw how well the Razr 2's did. Just look at the GNCC's and tell me what the majority is running. You will find that it is maxxis no doubt. Get what you want, but from what you said, the Razr 2's would be your best bet...

One of the main things that set the RAZR's apart are the front tires. The middle tread provides better steering characteristics than holeshots. That is why they are more popular.

I got my knarly's from C&D racing for i believe $42.99 a piece. I don't know the price of razr 2's though.
