I have a 2002 400Ex and in the rear end when i drive it squeeks realy bad and has a little grind noise to it. I don't know if it needs grease or a bearing or a carrier. Need Reply very fast:)

Bearings prolly need greased or replaced. Maybe even a whole new carrier. Take the axle out and check.

yea it does sound like it needs grease or new bearing, if knot try spraying a little wd-40 on the disc rotor to see if that whats causen it good luck
does your xle move around inside =swinagrm with free play? sounds like yo uneeed new bearings.

yup, pry your bearings. Might need a new carrier too if you rode to much on it while the bearings grenaded.

Brake pads might be totally gone, and the metal is rubbing on the rotor

well its prolly the bearings i know i rode my 400 with the bearings like that and i went to tighten the carrier cuz my chain fell off cuz the carrier couldnt hold in the swingarm and it broke so i had to get another carrier. Do it right and get new bearings and seals right away.

Chit can the stocker and buy an aftermarket one with a grease zerk...;) Or go thru this headache every year and keep the POS stocker. 2 years of racing and riding on my burgard carrier and she's still just like new...:cool:
