300EX with 350x engine?

What are your opinions of a 300EX with a 350 engine? Is it better more powerful and faster revving and more torque than a stock 300EX egnine? stock vs stock? mod vs mod? What are the advages/disadvantages of a 350x engine? Does it have reverse? I want some information of the 350x engine in a 300EX. And some information of a 350x engine like starting etc...

i just finished this conversion. it is much more powerful and faster than my friends piped, filtered, jetted 300ex. the 350x does not have reverse but it has 6 gears instead of 5 like on the 300. the engine is somewhat hard to start but that is because i have the decompression disconnected. hope this helps

The 350X engine is condiserably more powerful and performance-oriented than the 300EX engine, and it responds well to modifications. A 350X engine may not be quite as powerful as a 400EX, but it's pretty close. A 350X will hang with a 400EX in almost any environment. A 300EX has a hard time keeping up.

Of course, as you probably already know, you lose the convenience of electric start, as well as reverse.

to all you guys that have completed the comversion, i'm in the middle of one now. did you guys use the 250x/300ex wiring harness or did you have to buy the 350x wiring harness and cdi box thanks
