well i am 5' 8" and 160#s and when i had my 300 i felt crapmed up on it. the 400 is a great all around quad from what i hear and have seen. unless reverse in a must for you then id choose the 400 everyday over the 300.

No doubt 400EX,you will be cramped on the 300.You would enjoy the 300 at first until you learned to ride it then you would realize that you should have gotten the 400.

I'm 6'0 150. The 300ex fits me fine. I would rather ride a 400ex but the check book can't handle it right now. Your in the area give me a holler this summer and I'll let you ride the 300ex. The suspension isn't stock so you can't really compare too much.

if u have the choice and you know how to ride you should get a 400 regardless of your height and weight

u may feel a little cramped on a 400ex too....the ds650 & kfx700 are both great machines....whatever you do, stay away from the craptor no matter how cool the look. ;) good luck

im 6'2 and 190 lbs and I can ride a 300ex no prob. I still say go with the 400ex, but you guys make it seem like a trx90 or something.

I would say go for the 400ex

JUmbo whats the deal with raptors??

2001 there could have been a few bugs but now they are just as good as any other bike.. the most common problem i've seen around here is people do not jet them right... seems like its running to rich or to lean or j ust not running at all.. ..

i am no raptor fan but dont dish them just because a few spanked that honda 450joke ...
no matter what i wouldnt get a . 450r their slower than a yfz stands up easier, gets on two wheels easier, and kick start. even though its made by honda its not their best bike.. i wouldnt buy it.

it doesnt feel to well when i called your honda 450r a joke did it??

or all the other untrue comments the 450r is a good machine..
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Get the 400ex, buy a powerbomb header/whitebrothers e-series, holeshots xcr's in the rear, trail claws up front, nerfs, 14tooth sproket, jet it.. and that 400ex will be set to go anywhere you would like to take it..

i loved my 400ex a whole lot i wouldnt have trade it for any fourwheeler till i rode the yfz  that set me back 2,600 if you think it didn't.:D

but

my 300ex was nice to.. i loved that bike as soon as i got rid of it .. it had all tracs and whitebrothers e series promeg .. i loved that bike i missed it a bunch after i got rid of it... but now its hard to tell which one i would like more..

at first i was a little sick not having reverse.. but then after 2 years on the 400ex you get used to it. i told myself that i will never buy a 4 wheeler agin without reverse.. but look what i did. bought a brand spankin new 450 without a darn reverse..

what i am trying to say you will get used to not having a reverse. . and the 3-400ex you wont be unhappy i had fun with both...

I'm 6'1" was 280 and got a 400ex, I'm down to 255 now, but I think you should go 400ex. It won't take long and you'll think you need a 450R or YFZ like me :blah:

Definatly get the 400EX. New for new the 400 is way cheaper than the 300 anyway last I checked around here.

yea the 400 would def be better, plus you can find um a dime a dozen now a days, and get nice ones for cheap. but im 6'4 250+ and still through my 300 around. its fun just b\c im so big and its so little, i just look goffy on it, we should have a movie soon and i think im in a few shots. it holds up fine for all the riding i do which is mostly trails and some rev 3 jumpin. and as long as the landing is nice on whatever your jumpin, you wont really bottom out, i wasnt at leas jumpin the rev(its the same ramp as jug posted of bignorm doin holymans), but get the 400 for sure
