View Full Version : hiper question
i jsut got hipers with kenda klaws for my yfz i was bolting them up tonight i dotn wanan overtighten them but should the space between the ring and wheel be seated, like should the ring and wheel be touching or is there usually a space in there? it seems like i could tighten it more i just dont wanna take a chance, im brorwing my cousins torque wrench tomorrow, if its torqued right now at 10lbs and there not squeezed together what do i do?
Fill them with air and check for leaks before tightening more, soapy water helps;)

yeah, but is that right ? or is it suppose to be closed up? or does it depend ont he tire?
if you think about it the beadlock ring is actually pinching the tire. so once you get them all to 10ft/lbs the tire is held on there by the ring and the outer part of the rim.
it wouldnt be good if the ring hit the rim before it was able to pinch the tire enough to hold air/keep from spinning
so yes, after you torque them down there should be a little bit of space there
ok thanks muff i just wanted to make sure
