I rode my bike today and it ran great. I loaded it up into my truck and tipped it on the grab bar. When I to our riding area it was very hard to start and would not idle. It would run good if it was wound up, but would stumble every where else. It seems like it is running very rich. Could the float be stuck or could their possilbly be water in the fuel which I have read about in other threads.

You may have gotten water in the steering stem. When you stand it up that water drains through the vent hose to the gas tank. Drain the carb and dump all the gas out of the tank, it should be back to normal if that's what the problem is.

My bike is also hard to start after turning it up, i have heard this can be bad for it. And considering its hard to start afterwards, maybe it really is. It will go away shortly

Just like wingnut said, you may have gotten water in the tank through the breather. Cut your long stock gas cap breather because the stem can trap water when you tip it up, it drains into the breather. I cut mine just long enough to stay put in the stem.

Do you turn the gas off every time you tip it up. I have no problem starting mine after tipping it up.

Cut the vent hose shorter, and make sure you take it out of the steering stem before you flip it up...

Do aftermarkey steering stems have drain holes?

I had the same problem with mine after standing it up. Always shut your gas off first i found it is fine if you shut down the gas and run the line empty before you put it up and it will start fine after your done.

What he said!! The air filter gets saturated with gas if you don't run it dry with the fuel off before standing on end!

exactly, turn off the gas and let the quad idle until it quits, and all the gas is out of the float bowl.....then turn it up
