am i suppose to put filter oil on outerwears?

I just got a pro flow kit with K&N for my yfz and i oiled the K&N.. am i uppose to use air filter oil on the outerwears to?

Nope it don't catch stuff from the air it just helps keep it out since the holes in it are so small
