I have a feeling the ride would be terrible. Even with the mount relocator you would have to compress the shocks, meaning the a-arms would always be fully extended. Put it this way, ****ed up:huh

It works just fine!!! That is as long as the bracket is made correctly. I have a customed frame made to accept the 400ex shocks, but a bracket is just as good. You can make the bracket any lenght you want in order to change ride height of the front end. If made correctly the shocks are not compressed at all!

I feel it is one of the best bangs for the buck when modding a 250x or 300ex suspension. Because we all know how lacking the stock set up is!

it would work ok...your best bet would be to Buy some +2 300ex a-arms then put some 400ex shocks on there...

The 300ex a arms with 400ex length shocks work fine as long as you use a shockmount bracket. Aftermarket shocks work best because they can be valved/sprung for the application. Stock 400ex shocks are too soft. I have +2 Burgard 300ex arms and a shockmount bracket with custom Elka's and it is awesome.

If you still decide you want to do the 250r front end I have everything you need including Works shocks if interested. No bracket needed. PM me if interested. I can post pics of both setups.
