usually only a tiny bit I believe. nothing worth avoiding it for.

YES. Quiet cores just reduce airflow, which will in turn usually mean you have to rejet just to use it unless you want it to be running super rich and not run real strong.

Yes, it will reduce the power. I bought one, and didn't have it in for very long...the thing never left my yard. I don't think it made it that much quieter either.

Sparks told me that their quiet core would reduce the power gain their pipe gives you. They also said that the loss in power would be minimal ~1hp.
