View Full Version : Ac standard or AC propeg

Im about to buy some nerf bars for the 400. I can't decide between the standard and the propegs. People say that the propegs were down way to quick, and after a few sharpenings, theres nothing left. Is this true? Are the pegs replaceable?

I have the standard and they work just fine. My stock pegs haven't wore down THAT much. I think eaither way you will be happy.

I went with standard AC's this year. I had pro pegs last year and couldn't keep them on my ride. One side came completely off twice during races last year....I bolted and welded all kinds of stuff together and they just wouldn't stay tight. Just my experiences though.

I am pretty happy with my standards this year....they are actually staying on too, lol!:D

is it true that if you get the standard ac nerfs that you can change the pegs when you need to. and the propegs the pegs cant be changed?

You mean to get another set of stock footpegs or a set of aftermarket ones?

I am actually looking into wider/longer/aftermarket pegs, because the standard ones bolt into the stock pegs...why wouldn't they do the same for aftermarket ones....?:confused:

I would assume so, but I don't know for sure.

I know on propegs, the pegs are part of the nerf....as in welded on.

I have the propegs on my 400ex I have had to sharpen them with a file and I have the regular ac nerfs on my 450r with the IMS pegs, I like this set up as well.

nothing like a double peg go with the pro pegs u wont be disapointed... also gibson and another company make pro pegs that are replacable also when u call ac order the pro pegs with the extended peg option i think its like 50 bux it works a lot better i wish i got them
