big bore?

i seem to have pretty good compression on my 250x but i need some extra speed like everyone else...i need to know what the best setup would be and how big i could bore my sleeve to...my friend said that i can only bore it .20 over w/out having to rejet but is rejetting that hard? what would i have to do? or could i just bore to a 300 and buy a 300ex jet kit?

jetting is very easy. my 250x is bored .80 over and runs great. also u dont have to buy a whole jet kit just to rejet it. just go to ur local honda shop and toy around around with the jets till u get it right
