I need some help.

A guy I know is wanting to sell his 1999 440EX with a whole list of goodies.

+1 swingarm
Lonestar Axle
Works front shocks
Lonestar A-Arms +2 (I believe)
Stock rear shock thats been revalved
Meyer plastics
Trinity Racing 440 kit
Some other stuff

He is wanting $5000

My problem is, is the 440 a reliable motor? I dont want something Im going to have to rebuild very often. I know he takes good care of his stuff, so thats not much of an issue. He had the 440 done early last year. Do you guys think it would be a safe investment?

Tell that to all of the people selling them around here. :huh

I found another one similar to this one locally and they wanted almost $7000 for it. It was a year or two newer. That was a dealer.

Yeah, hold off on that deal unless you can get it for much less...you can get something much more modified for less than that. IE. better suspension like axis, tcs, elka...look around, there's a lot out there right now.:D

But to answer your question, a 440 can be very reliable!!!:D

I cant find a stock used one around here for less then $3500. Then by the time I add the mods Ill have an outrageous amount of money in it. This quad has a fair majority of the mods I was going to end up doing any how.

It seems like the 440 mod is fairly reliable..:macho
