I just took off the throttle limiting screw on my sons Eton Viper 50cc, as he is now ready to ride with the full range of the throttle.

At about 3/4 throttle the bike sounds a bike hitting a rev limiter...

Kinda like da da da da

Is this an air/fuel mixture problem

in back of the cdi there is a green wire it needs to be cut, that gets rid of the rev limiter. makes a huge difference!

Thanks for the reply guys, but I don't think it is actually hitting the rev limiter...I don't think it is reving high enough to actual get to the limiter...

It is like a stumble that starts a 3/4 throttle...just kind of sounds like a rev limiter...
