Question about Swaping Motors

I live with my grandparents and they say if i switch motors with somebody that if i want to register the wheeleri can't because i got a different engine in it that isn't the original and they go by the Vin number on the frame though anyways right??
is that true or what cause i think that's b.s. if the state can do that to ya..hit me back guys pm me or email me birddog922002@yahoo.com

The vehicle registration is based on the VIN # on the frame. You can swap a motor, but it's still the same vehicle.

no the state only goes by the number on your frame. the motor is not made for that frame. So don't worry.
