Is this a decent exhaust system for the 400ex? There is a brand new 2004 400ex at my dealer with the t4 exhaust, nerf bars, and a few other aftermarket stuff on it. I'm not sure how much more they are wanting for it since its not stock, but i might end up getting it.

Is this a decent pipe and silencer when its properly jetted?

Yeah, my buddy has one on his raptor...i dont really know if i like it being that loud. Will it sound as loud on the ex compared to the raptor?

pretty loud depending on the end cap.

I have the T4 exhaust and I dont think it is that loud.I like the way it sounds and if ya clean on it abit it looks good too.....I would buy another one if I had too.....

As far as decent goes, I think the pipe is well constructed but I also think the Sparks and CT make more power. I am sure there are others that make more power too.

How much house power does it give with the full syestem comepared to just the slip on with spark arestor?
im thinking about getting one

The full system probably makes 2 hp more than stock. The slipon wont be far away on a stock bike but the more motor work you do, the more the slipon will hold you back. In other words, the headpipe is the difference when you start doing motor work.

Can't really say. My HMF has a QC and I don't think it's loud at all.

i have procircuit t4 complete exhaust on my 400ex. i thought it was loud when there wasnt anything in it...no spark arrester or quiet core. then i bought a quiet core and i think it made it louder and sound like crap, until i took it and drilled 8 holes in the quiet core. the quiet core consists of a spark arrester with a big washer welded in the middle. i drilled the holes in that washer. it a considerable difference and made it sound much better, and it also made it quieter. the holes were with a 3/16 drill bit.

i did see some hp difference, it seemed like it made it run better throught the powerband.

before i did the quiet core thing, my t4 was louder than the yoshi, but now its about the same
