FDO hands down

$70 for the studs, $30 to have them tap out your head

I had the same problem. (happened 3 times) So I finally just pulled them all out, tap it, put inserts in and used locktite on the studs and torqued them in good.

No problems now.

Aren't the head studs sized so that they expand equally with the cylinder and head?

if i remember correctly it only took a week and a half including shipping. the head does not need to get drilled out. you need to install the studs yourself

They will install the studs if you are not having the cylinder bored.

I'm always amazed by the prices for motorcycle and quad parts. I can get 4 wing attach bolts for an F-16 for less than that, and they're much larger and higher quality. What a rip-off!

I see your point and agree but there is not very many bolts less than $70. Bolts on planes have alot of insurance on each one.

I don't know about the higher quality part.
