Silver Lake Dunes Pics or Video

I'm looking to go duning in Silver lakes, but 500 acres doesn't sound very big. Anyone have any pics or video that hasn't already been posted. I'm just wondering if it's going to be the Duning experience I hope it will be, or just a small area that's over crowded and over hyped. Don't get me wrong I really want to go, but from wi it's about 7hrs, so i want to know if it's worth it.

It was about a 15 hr drive for me, and it was definately worth it. Remember that if by chance you do get bored, you can park the quad and go rent jet skis right there, too. I have pics posted from my trip last summer.

Silver Lake typically is a good time. However if you are making that long of a trip I wouldn't recommend a holiday weekend, because it can get very crowded.

The best time to go to silver lake wuld be on normall weakend. Remember to leave as soon as posible the earlyer you get your voutcher the sooner you get on the dunes.;)

It's actually only 450 acres and it is WAY overrated. Too many people, rules, and it gets really rough. You'd have more fun at the Badlands and it's closer for you.
