its a 300ex (2001) with lrd full exhaust, ac nerfs, bumper, shock covers, custom made grab bar in machine shop +2 not in picture, dyno jets, now it has maxxis razors in the rear and brand new mx's in the front, pro taper bars, jagg oil cooler, 400ex plastics and seat and more stuff.

yea when i took out a lone to buy it i wanted the 400ex but my dad said its to big but then when he finally saw one hes like o the size isnt very different it just sits up sorry. now that i have these mods i thinks i'm going to fully mod the thing with bore kits shocks swing arm a-arms etc

what do u think?

i mean i could always buy a 330 kit that woops the 400 or even a bigger kit but alot of people out there think its phisically to small. So i figure after this race season instead of buying stuff for the 300 and riding it in the winter i'm going to buy an 88 250r frame brand new and powder coat it. then put my motor in it sell my chassis and the components and soop the 250r chassis. i mean already off the line i own a 400 but when it tops out the 400 will blow by me. So i think its a good choice to get the 88 frame and bore it to a 380cc:)

If you have the money rebuild an R from the ground up. From your mods on the 300ex it seems you ride MX and the R is the best MX bike.

Either way it depends what kind of riding you do, your size, if you like 2 strokes, and how seripous you are about racing.

Andrew i pmed you.

Hey 416exman, you got a sweet lookin ride. Keep goin with the mods, and when you get money saved up, go ahead and get yourself a more advanced ride. You have got a great start, and now just need to focus on ridin it hard and putin it away dirty. Dont let these guys with the deep pockets tell you what you need just because they can run out and buy stuff without worries. You stated you took out a loan for it, so you are similar to me, and are probably still paying for it. Just go out and have some fun and not worry about what everyone tells you....

For a young guy like yourself, it looks like you're on the right path. Keep up the good work and a 400 will come in time.
Good luck.

Suspension- there's a reason people say to work the suspension before the motor. I know I would love to have a Curtis Sparks 440 that put me in awe every time I rode it but I realize after putting a used pair of works tripple rates on that even stock power can't be fully utilized until the suspension is set up. I couldn't believe the difference a pair of front shocks made. It gives you control and cuts down fatique like you would not believe. Invest in your suspension and become a believer. :p
