shocks 450 and 400ex

i have a complete set front and rear brand new 450 shocks that was never on a quad and also brand new rear 400ex shock that was never installed.. taken offer before i put them on ebay

Will those 450 shocks work on the 400?
If so, how much for front and rear together and how much seperately? I am trying to help my brother out by getting something better for his Ex.
