I just bought some Gaerne RX2 Boots from motosport outlet. I wear a 14, and they were originaly 170 and I got them for about 115. With the boots on I have to like sit on the gas tank now to shift. Is this normal? My ankle doesn't bend much but that is normal. Maybe they just need to be broken in?

Ya, it sucks. I had like 2 different pairs to choose from. My 2 uncles wear 15, and my grandpa has 13s. They are really nice boots, but they are stiffer than $h!t!

How new are they, and how much riding time do you have on them? If they are still fairly new, they need more time to be broken in. Also try adjusting you shift lever.

I got them about 3 weeks ago, maybe rode with them an hour.
To adjust the lever, you just loosen the bolt and rotate it right? Maybe I have to do that. It looks like i can only go up about a centimeter before I hit the engine.

Thanks

I took it off and put it back on, it is much better do drive with my boots now. I left it about a half a centimeter off of where it was before, so it can clear the engine. Is it safe to run it that way?

Thanks

As long as it doesnt hit, its fine. But since you only have an hour on those boots, just give it time....they should loosen up.
