Friend of mine put a works shock w/ a resivor on the rear of his 300ex and said he couldn't believe the difference between that and stock....He mainly rides trails also.

they are much better then stock bet definately not the upper level shock. i had a set on my 400ex and the coating on the springs started too come of emmediately. i have had tcs for 2 years not even a scratch on them

i have always been told they are the lowest/cheapest/worst aftermarket shock but are still WAY better then stock.
i loved my works & they are awesome for the price....if you dont race & just ride & dont feel like spending thousands of dollars on some shocks that you cant even get good use out of or reach their full potential then get works like me

I would just save a little more money and buy a real shock. I had a set on my R and I don't think they were worth the money when for just a few more dollars you could buy a good shock.

Works will do you just fine. I have run them and been more than pleased with the ride. Many guys I race with run Works shocks and are way better riders than I and they love'em.
Contrary to popular belief, you don't need some crazy *** investment for shocks. As long as they are valved and set up correctly you will have a huge grin on your face like this:D
