am i just stupid or what?

ok im in the middle of rebuilding my 440 and in the manual it ways to take out the piston clips using the pliers and that doesnt help me at all. how the hell do i get these stupid things out?

you grab them and squeeze them together with a pair of pliers..


If your talking about the clips that hold the rod into the piston that is.. Its like a circle, your gotta squeeze it down so its a small enough circle to slide out

To take them out we just use a little pocket screwdriver. We use it to put them back in. When you take them out with a screwdriver be sure to cover up the hole in the top of your cases that way it doesnt fall in there and you have to tear it down again, and watch out those things can fly pretty fast.
