i was just wondering how many inches it is across the top of the piston for a 440

I'm not exactly sure what you are looking for here but I know the bore on a 440 is 89mm so that would equal 3.504". But that's the bore, the piston would be a bit smaller.

1" = 25.4 mm

alright thanks i measured my piston and it was about 3 and a half inches across i just wanted to make sure i actually have a 440 and that the shop didnt rip me off when they rebuilt it after i blew my engine
