Carb Leaking

When i stand my 250X on the grab bar, gas leaks out of the carb or when i wheelie high it leaks out pretty fast. people have told me it is leaking out of the float in the carb. has anyone experienced problems like this before or know how to fix?

my 400 does the same thing, there was a post on this about a week ago, they told me it normal, just dont worry about it, cuz what happens if the float opens up because of the bike being up like that so gas drians out fo the overflow

is there a way to fix the problem cause gas is a 1.90 a gallon and it sucks when i jump and gas pours out of it

The 250x,300ex,&400ex all have a plastic float , that is not adjustable. What usually happens is the pin that the float hangs on , egg shapes the holes out . this is probbably caused from bouncing up and down while riding. What this does is allow the float to travel up further before it closes the float needle. This will raise the float level and some times cause fuel to dibble out the over flow tube. I hope this helps.

so to actually fix it, could i block the overflow off or would i have to get a new carb?
