I have had my hmf for a while now. And i have been going back and forth between the needle setting. I had it in the middle clip at first. But then i hear that is to lean from most people. Then i move the clip one notch down, and it bogs a lot, untill i get it up into the wo area. Also i have a 160 in the main. It would help a lot if a few people would tell me what they think. Also i live not to far above sea level, its around 80 degrees.

i would leave it in the stock 3rd position for summer. also, i would drop your main down too a 152-155. in the cold winter, you may then want to move the needle to the 4th position. a 40 pilot jet may not be a bad idea either.

right now i have it set at the middle clip, a 42 pilot and a 162. I found that with the 162 i can open it up a lot more topend. It rips pretty well. Do you think i will have to mess with jetting when i get my high comp piston and cam? Thanks for the help.

i went up on my mainjet 1 size with my new piston and cam. i may have tinkered with the fuel skrew a bit too. jetting didn't change a ton though.

also, if you drop the main a little more you should only see more top speed.
