brake problem 400ex

I got on my rear brakes today and they locked up. i had to grab the pedal & pull it up to get it to release. The rear master cylinder is full. I am not sure about the pads. Any sugestions? Thanks in advance.

your calipers might be fried,either that or you might have something preventing your brake pedal from returning to its normal postion

Same thing happened to me about a month or two ago, toasted brand new pads:(

Remove the pedal (see repair manual) clean and lube the shaft and where it goes into the frame. Reinstall and check for ease of movement.

Yep mine did the same thing. I used a dremell with a wire wheel to cleen the bushing out, bought new seals and lube it up with marine grease every 3 months along with my swingarm bolt, carrier, and A-arm bolts.
