i have been riding in a lot of mud and water and my electric start will no longer work. It was working fine until about 2 hours of riding in mud sand water etc. If u take a screw driver and touch both screws on the top of the cilenod it will fire right up. But i'm not getting any power to the key switch. If i put it in neutral the neutral light will not come on until the quad is started. I checked all the connections and they are all connected and seem to be dry.

so what might the problem be , loose wire, wet, fuse, etc,

any suggestions thanks.

Well, its not your starter if it works when you cross the solenoid wires. Water could be making something ground out. Trace all the wiring and make sure everythings plugged in, and also check the fuses.

Check the wire going from your fuse box that is soldered to the positive cable from your battery. It is soldered down by the selenoid. For some reason mine broke but i fixed it.
