Parking brake block off

Just wondering, does blocking the pb actually improve anything? Or just make cables and stuff less messy, and save a tad of weight?

Also, how do you install one? Is it just a bolt on mod or what?

It's a simple bolt on. The stock parking break has been known to be basically useless after a short while and many say it wears down the rear pads prematurely.
