cracked stock header

anyone crack their stock header? i just found a crack in mine that goes 2/3 ways around it.....will this be covered under warrenty and has this happened to anyone else before?:huh

i doubt it will be covered, but i am not positive.

if you don't get it covered under warrenty, i can get you one for cheap if need be.

or you can get it welded for cheap..

I know in my town you buy a glasspack for your car from them for $25 they install it for $5..

a shop should weld it for like $10-$20..

I just found a crack in the exhaust on my wife's quad. I would just get it welded. That's what I'm doing. A friend of mine is doing it for free.:D Most shops will do it cheap. Even if it was covered under warranty it would probably take forever to get the dealer to do anything anyhow.

Just get it welded. Better yet get an aftermarket one;)

I just removed mine for a polish job. Once i had it in my hand, i decided to clean the interior by filling the header with Castrol SuperClean degreaser(good stuff btw), i was surprised to see that all the stuff was flowing away by the 'Y'. There was fews cracks in the weldings. Thats not all, the 'Y' isnt even welded on the engin side of it :eek:

well we just talked to customer service manager/mechanic at our local dealer today and they said itll be covered under warrenty. plus while its there im getting a full top to bottom tuneup.:D
