freakin 300ex

i got a 95 300ex and we went to the dunes 2 weeks ago. it worked fine the first 2 days then sunday as we were gettin ready to go ride before leaving it started for 3 or 4 seconds then quit. tried pull statin and it seemed like it didnt wanna start. got it home and it had a little sand in the carb so i took it apart and cleaned it and blew it out. it has spark. and its pushin gas out the carb. seemed like it jumped time, so i checked and it was fine. ANYONE HAVE ANY FREAKIN IDEAS, CAUSE I SURE DONT KNOW. i really appreciate the help.

Im curious as to what kind of air filter your using, sand in the carb means sand in the motor and thats not good at all. I dont know if thats your prob but it cant be good long term. You might try checking the compression.

yeah i know thats not good but it fixin to get a 385 kit after i finish the 400. and yes it had comression.

Hmm...You got gas LOL idk better get that checked out!

Are you sure the gas is good. You need 3 things to run: compression, air/fuel, and spark (at the right time). You ruled out compression and spark?

My 250X (similar) did the same thing.....turned out to be the carb was not working properly. I disassembled the carb and soaked the body in carb cleaner, used compressed air to blow out all the little holes and jets.....worked for me.
