View Full Version : Just a thought on swing arm skidplates

KEEP THE STOCK ONE,,,,,,, If you get an aftermarket one, made out of aluminum, it will bend and end up hitting your sprocket or disc,,,, I have full chassis and a-arm skids on my bike, but I am staying with the plastic one on the swingarm,,, I have a couple hundred miles on mine and all it has done is a little crack,,,, I have heard it whack many things, but flex is better than bending,,,,,,, by the way from service honda thre only like 14 bcks, so when I do break it,, I'll just by a couple of them,,,,Id rather swap em, than have to sit there and straiten a metal one out

i was thinking the same thing. U can buy stock ones on ebay for like 5 bucks. And they either break or flex back, never have to worry bout straitening it out.

Ya I actually took my bike to a pretty rocky place and really liked how the skid plate did its job. I was going to order a heavy duty one but decided against it.
