i wouldnt go with the 416 if u have the money for 426 or 440. i had a guy that was going to get me a 440 kit but i came across a good deal on a sweet 426 so i bought the 426. i wont get it till monday probly so i donno how good it is yet but the sparks 426 motors are soposed to be awsome. 426's are soposed to rev much quicker than a 440 which is excelent for mx. my cosuin had a CT 440 and that thing was awsome but he was getting pulled on starights by sparks 426's. plus the 426's are more reliable. so go with the 426 and then if thats still not enough power than u can just make it a 440 for about $200 or $300 more.

Bigger is not better. A 416 or 426 will pull a 440 all day long. Build a 426, itll be super relaible, and pretty beefy. Ive holeshoted the last 5 races with my 426. You can have someone bore your stock cylinder .120 over and buy a 88mm piston and have at it, dont bother sending it away. By the way Sparks does not build a 425 or 426, they only build 416s, 440s,465s, and they have a 505.

I would go with a 426 or 440 stroker if all u are going to do is mx because the 426 likes to run hot some time oh yea the 440 stroker is a 416 with a 4 mm stroked crank well hope it was some help I would go to CT or Sparks there both really good companys

Ive never had a heat issue with my 426,but I run a www.deserttoyzatv.com oil cooler, it runs great with the cooler and 111 Sunoco.

Go with the 416 and then you will have one rebuild after that if the 416 goes on you. I went straight to the 426 and it hauls *****!!

If your gonna spend the money for a 46 kit, id go the extra mile and get the extra10cc's. Its worth it I would think;)

You can do most of it yourself. Take the cylynder out and have it bored to you new piston and send your head off to somewhere that does porting. GT Thunder I hear is good. Put a cam in on reasembly and that is about it. Just have a manual for dissasembly and assembly.

DO NOT PORT YOUR HEAD! You will get a little more peak power but you will have a shorter power band. Keep them stock keep toyr power band brod have better ride-ability. JMO
