300ex or moded 250x or a 400ex

i have this friend that cannot make up his mind \

he has a 97 300ex and its total stock besides his 400ex bald tires..

he is thinking about buying a 250x that has a different carb. bored out 20 over and some other little stuff done to it for 2500.00

or get a used or new 400ex


or keep his 300ex and just moded it up his self (at least he knows what he is getting that away)
