Im wonderin if it will be worth gettin one of these after I change my tire height. Right now I have 22x11x9 Holeshot XCTs....after I trade them or buy some 20's will the 14 tooth front sprocket lower my top end considerably? Or if I stick with the 22's will it average out?(like 20's with stock 15 tooth sprocket)

Is the 14 tooth sprocket worth gettin?

I got 22" realtors for the snow and they were a little to much to pull with the stock 15 so i got a 14 and it helped a lot. They eavend out nice. Now that its mud season The 14 is nice cause i can lug 2nd through the mud and keep up momentum without stalling or spinning.

thanks Myst....do you think the 14 tooth would be too much with the stock tires though?

I like it with the 14t and stock tires. I find i shift a little more but I like it. The extra oomph is worth the couple less mph. Acording to my trailtech stock tires 15t top speed is 66 with 14t it is 62. You notice it on the road but i find flyn through tight trails its better since i can get up to that top speed and my friends acn barely get into 5th bit i ride in 5th so i dont have to shift as often at high speeds. kinda confusing but i think that makes sense

I Like it a lot. It Is very acurate I checked it wit radar and i was .5 mph off at 55. It tells u when to change ur oil. My favorite thing is knowing how far out i am so i know when i gotta start heading home. My only complaint is the indiglo dosent stay on It only lights up for 5 sec.

It took under 5 min all you have to do is losten the chain then take off the case saver(2 bolts) then take off the old sprocket(2 more bolts) then put on the new one tighten it up put on the case saver and reajust your chain slack

The 22s rob alot of HP...Ill tell ya that straight off. Im hopin the 14 T will make a big difference. I run a 440 (no cam, portwork) with a Yosh, K+N,no airbox lid....I lose top end to a piped 400 with no lid. With stock tires on Ill be 3-4 quad lengths ahead by top end and steadily keep pullin. My 440 wouldnt rev out all the way in 5th gear with the 22s on.......itd just stay around 5k RPM and Id watch the stock 4 hundy pass me by.

Id say get a 14 T front sprocket and it should offset this to otherwise stock gearing with the 22s on :) (hopefully...let ya know soon)

Just to let you guys know, I just went to 22's for more clearance in the rear and dropped to a 14 tooth to get the pull back in it. It offsets almost perfectly. I did the math and the Stock gearing is a 2.53 ratio. Dropping to a 14t gives you a 2.71 ratio. The difference in gear ratio to tire circumference is 1.071 for the gearing and 1.1 for the tire circumference difference. Almost the exact pull from factory, but the miniscule difference in pull, I gained back and then some with my aftermarket mods. Hope this helps.
