posting pics ?

I've got a few good pics of me and some friends but don't know how to post them on this site. Will someone please give detailed info so I can post them. What do after I hit the insert image button. My pics are on my desktop. how do I get them to transfer to my post? any help is appreciated. I look forward to posting some pics for all to see.

you could send it to someones e-mail...if you give someone the pics that knows how to do it then they could post it for you....

No offense but that's a pretty lame way around things. Do you know how? If so it would be much better to simply tell me how so I can put alot of pics on instead of having me e-mail my pics to someone else and ask them to post them.
Who here knows how to post pics?
