I have a 400 EX with JE high compression piston, FMF slip on, white brothers revbox, and a uni filter. after running the bike for a while it starts to cut out. Only if I keep the RPM's up real high or grab the choke will the bike run right. Any ideas?

I don't mean clean out the needle I mean change the clip.
Did you change anything on the quad lately? Or did it get hotter cose of summer? That could have a affect on your jetting.

he is talking about the clip on the needle. this clip is adjustable in 1 out of 5 positions on the stock needle to make jetting richer or leaner from about 1/8 to 3/4 throttle.

check out the techarticles on a carb. tells what a needle is what position of throttle it affects main what position is is mixture screws ect. then take a look at a plug diagram also in the tech artices.. will show if your running lean rich and different types of fouls.. then when you figure out whats going on or have an idea... come back to us and we'll help you out.
