Has anyone overheated a 400ex?, im just research it before i but it?

Stock, usually not, but once you start over boring, you may have probs….Welcome to the site too, I see you live in Lockport, I’m over in Joliet.....:)

iv'e never had mine overheat once....liquid cooled isnt all its cracked up to be & just seems like one more thing to break & have to $$$ to get fixed

if you do, get some air scoops, 400exs shouldnt overheat unless, you run them wot for awhile, or your going real slow. take a run in the water lol

I've ridden mine in all types of weather.. Never had it over heat, I have the 416 now and it doesn't seem to run much hotter than it did stock.
Mind you the motor will fade when you run it hard enough in hot weather though.

no problems here. and i agree with jumbo, liquid cooling is just something else that adds weight/could breakdown. IMO
