I will be buying a new set of rear rims in a month or so and was wondering if the douglas .160 wheels are very durable. and if they would bend under light jumping and fast trail riding?
thnx

you might be ok but I would spend the few extra dollars and get the .190

I was dissappointed in my Douglas rims. I have the .190's and they got a huge dent in one of them when i hit a rotted log. It wasn't a hard hit, my stockers would have been able to take it w/o damage. However, they are very light, which is a + .

i would not go with .190s at all i had a set and did some trail riding and mx riding and they didnt hold up very well at all they ding fairly easy and bend if you hit any basically any thing. I would go with a rolled edge or stock rims are good also

I agree with sport300ex, I assumed douglas would be better just because they are aftermarket and I too easily dinged up my rear .190. The standard douglas wheels dont have the rolled lip like your stockers do so people probably think it's odd for the stock wheels to be better but they are. So in my opinion if your going to be jumping then the 160s should be out of the question. Good luck in your decision.

Yeah, I'd stay away from those .160's. .190's bend easy enough.

I race mx and use ITP .190's and stock honda rims. Better to ere on the safe side....don't cheap out. Get yourself a decently strong rim....I would go ITP if I were you too.;)

Every forum i've ever seen has said bad stuff about douglas rims. If you got .190 rims for the sand, id say you would be fine. Otherwise, go with ITP .190's. I just bought the T9 Pro Series on my sand tires and I was impressed with the weight. Didnt weigh any more than my brothers douglas .125's on sand skate 2's.

Douglas wheels are fine if they have the rolled lip like stock but otherwise...........

My friend bought ITP 190 and he dented them as well. So if it was me.. unless i were to buy hipers or some kinda beadlock, id stick with my stock honda rim.. BUT thats just me.. im cheap i guess

I agree. I have .190 ITP rims on the front of my 400 with razr tires....and they don't hold air worth *****. I have read/heard of other people also having this problem. Stay with the stockers, or get some beadlocks:cool:

Get the .190's at least, and if ya can get beadlocks or at least rims with rings.
