Clutch slipping

My buddy has a bike that the clutch is slipping on real bad..

when you slam it into second once u get over 6grand it just tachs out to 12grand and dosen't accelerate..

I know this is a quad forum, but someone said somthing about somting inside the clutch that was worn for a atv.. What is that peice called? what does he need to replace? or should he get a whole new assembly?..

Sounds like the plates are worn and the clutch basket is probably is too. I'd put new henson plates and basket in and try that.
