hey,i am new to the whole 4 stroke engine building.(400ex) I know how and what everything in a two strtoke works and does.now is the 4 stroke part.what is a 11:1 piston and how does it effect what type of gas u use?what gives you more compression a 11:1 or a 10:1?also who makes 416,426 and 400 kits?would u have to get a new sleeve for a 426?any thing else in 4stroke engine buildin would help me thanks alot.

11:1 has more compression than 10:1
The gas you should run with 11:1 would be nothing less than premium pump. A lot of people like to do a 50/50 mix of race and premium though.
Ross, JE, and Wiseco make 416, 426, and 440 sized pistons.
I'm pretty sure you do not have to resleeve when going up to a 426. I've heard of stock cylinders cracking at this bore size though.
Check the "tech articles" on this site. That would probably help you some too.
