Motor knocks on startup but not when it runs. Any idea where to start??

If it just knocks/clicks for a few seconds when you start it and it doesn't do it any other time, it's probably just normal. The Foreman is fairly notorious for making knocking and clicking sounds when the engine is first started, especially during cold starts. My Foreman has done it since it was brand new and the majority of Foremans that I've heard start up also do it, and it's much worse when the motor is completely cold.

The conclusion that myself and several others have come up with is that it just knocks and clicks for a few seconds until there's a good steady oil flow to the top-end. I also think the noise is partially due to the motor being a pushrod design, which helps cause more noise in the valve train.

I'll check it out closer. I'm hearing it may be a clutch noise??? I'll let it run for a few minutes and see if it it disipates. I'm new to this and will take some learning to get use to it.
