Fits fine. I've had no problems.

Works like a charm, its the same chain companies are selling as a HD cam chain.

What does changing the cam chain do, just make it stronger or what?

yes, it is stronger. some people claim a throttle response gain with the new chain but that may just be in their heads. i don't know. i have one and it will be going in the bike in a couple weeks.

On service honda it shows the 400 cam chain as costing 65 dollars and the CRF450 as 26. Is this right? Is it actually cheaper for the stronger chain? It also shows the TRX450R as costing 28.

Yes, cheaper and stronger... The chain manufacturer is the same, but the plates are slightly thicker.

Throttle response gain can be linked to advancing the cam by replacing a worn out chain.

As the 400EX's timing chain wears, it's cam timing retards, shifting power toward the top end.

When you advance cam timing, you shift power lower in the RPM curve.
