Holy crap dude, I think you're right. I watched it again in slow mo (ghetto style, hitting pause/play really fast) and it looks like the piston blows, chops his hand off (which goes flying) and he brings his arm to his chest. I don't think the piston hit him in the chest at all, I think that was just his natural reaction to his hand getting blown off. Anyone know how to screenshot in WMP?

It does look like his hand but I don't think that it would bounce that much? I didn't see a piston hit him just that explosion and that thing go flopping off...I think it might be his hand though...damn that sucks.:(

after putting it in slow mo in windows movie maker, i think it is only a piece of the gas tank or the front fairing that flew off. The piston may not have hit him in the chest, but something did, whether it be a piece of the tank or fairing or just the explosive concusion. Here are a few still i took of it.

OK so I'm not the only one who noticed that. If that were me I would have never left the line. I'd rather take the loss then possibly lose a hand or even get hit in the chest with a piston or just completely blow the engine.

Thats a good point too... I cant really tell what the nocking is... the first time i heard it, i thought rev limiter too.... but either way... he just lost his hand...

I think it's just a piece of the bike that blew off. Like a piece of a gas tank shield or something, or a piece of the fairing. IMO I think that sound you hear is the rev limiter kicking in with his rev box. I don't think that was knocking. BUt you never know the other bike was running also so it's hard to hear just his bike. Luckily he's okay.

ditto.....when i went to the drag races, all the modified bikes had rev limiters on em, sounded exactly like that, they would pull the throttle all the way back and it wouldnt go real high, then they would let out the clutch and haul @$$:D that deffinetly had to hurt....

Like most drag cars the bikes don't launch at redline, they have a stutter box on them to help with consistent starts.
