I was wondering what is the best size tires to use for mx. Right now i am running 18x10x8 mxr. Is that to small of a tire and what size is best for the front.

IMO that's a perfect size for the rear tire. For the front the favorite seems to be 20x6x10.

What would the attributes and drawbacks be on a 19x6-10 front tire compared to a 20x6-10. Also, the positives and negatives on the 18x10-8 and 18x10-9 rear tires. Thanks in advance.

with the rear a 9" rear rim will have less sidewall flex but it will be a rougher ride as well as the fact that if you ride with low tires pressure there is more chance of bending a rim. with the front im not sure why the 20" is better other than for smoothness b/c of the sidewall size

Most riders find the 19 fronts just too small. I personally like the 20" Holeshot MX fronts. Nice and light with good traction. Just too light duty for trail riding and they wear pretty quick.

Yep, I run the 20" Holeshots up front and 18" Tamers in the rear. That is my favorite setup....oh yeah...especially when it dries off. Man, them rubbers really hook up!

The 19's up front look cool but they get really squirrly at high speed.
