those are LPC a arms (lovins performance chasis).

things i still need:
steel braided brakelines
anti fade nut
front wheels (flat spoted ones on the bike, dont know how)
ac grab bar
full pipe
carb
well i think thats all i need to finish my project.

04-25-2004, 10:59 PM
nobody likes a showoff

j/k.....nice 450r...its still slow though, yfz's are so much fatser with their heavy batteries

well the yahama might be faster but i will not trade my honda for it. i will buy my honda over a yahama any day of the week. i love how my r rides (before the a arms and shocks). i am sure it will ride so much better now that i have it set up.

thanks everyone for Looking.

Do you have a phone # or a website for the arms and swinger? Also how much were they if you don't mind me asking? Thanks.

04-26-2004, 07:44 AM
i dont think the yfz is really faster (not any faster to me that I would go to yamaha) :blah:

that is a sweet quad!!!

what kind of axle is that??
also you may want to losen off some of that preload on those front shocks, it looks like it is sitting awfully high!!! that is what i would do

bigz-71
04-26-2004, 05:09 PM
i was told ride height needs to be about 7 1/2 inches. i got 7 3/4 up front and 7 1/4 in the rear.
what ride height should i have?

400exBro
04-26-2004, 07:36 PM
o really, no just by the looks of it, i assumed that the preload was put to far down, ...

is that a lsr axle?? are they really +3 inchs over stock?

Looks good buddy. I used to have a Lovins framed 265R, and was impressed with Randys stuff. The hood really makes the 450R look great.

that is NICE!

bigz-71
04-26-2004, 08:56 PM
Yeah Lovins makes some good stuff. this is the first time i have dealt with him. i would recommend him.

the axle is a rpm axle and i am not sure how wide it is, +3 or +4. i know most of the axle for this bike are calling them +3. the bike is 49 inches wide.

Hey man how much were those a-arms and swingarm. That guy does make some nice stuff. They almost look like LSR DC-4 arms the way the bend like that. Whats his number and where is he at, i could use some for mine when i get it a few months. Thanks man, Shaun

he lives in dyserburg, tn. he sells the a arms for 1,025. i think he charges a 750 for the swingarm. i got a deal since this was his first set. he used my bike to make all of his jigs. If you are interested you can contact him at (731) 286-4878. call after 3 and he should be there.

What size a-arms are those ? +3 , +2 or what ?

bigz-71
04-29-2004, 07:29 PM
i think they are +2 and maybe -1(if any). i dont think on the 450r you can put +3, i think it will be too wide. if i put 4-1 offset wheels it will be too wide. i have to run 3-2 offset.

Billa_bong38
04-29-2004, 07:45 PM
Yea im going to be running.. Houser LT +2's with stock 3 2 offset rims...
I wonder how wide that will put me at ?

bigz-71
04-29-2004, 08:14 PM
i am a little over 49 inches wide.

i rode it this past weekend, and i LOVE it. it rides so good. it turns like a champ. i wants to drop the nose a little but i like that. i had no trouble at all with. the suspension worked really good. all i have done is bolt it on and set the ride height. i have 7 3/4 in the front and 7 1/4 in the rear. i was told to shoot for 7 1/2.

about the hood. i love it and it was easy to install and remove. i have taken the plastics off like a 100 times. i am a expert at it now. you only have to drill six holes for the plastice pop rivits.

Looks very nice. If you are running the 3-2 offset and went to the 4-1 that would actually make it narrower, not wider.
