View Full Version : ESR 310 problem?

i just got my esr 310 but how do you tighten the cylinder down.....there is no way to get a wrench or rachet on the front two dowles and nuts that pull it tight to the case? what do you have to do...special tool......???any help would be greatly appreciated...since esr is closed till monday? thanks

Motion Pro makes the tool you need, it's a torque wrench adapter with 12 and 14mm sizes. Dennis Kirk has them, Part # 28-729...

I just took my wrench to a grinder till it fit just right

yeah i just grinded my box end wrench......what does everyone run for jets?

The ground down wrench!What carb?In east TN I run a 185 main,DGH needle all up 155 pilot.BE CAREFUL BREAKING IN!Pistons are exxpensive for pro cross cylinders!I run 80% water and 20% antifreeze no heat problems and straight 110 with 32:1 r-50 KLOTZ oil I got 228lbs. compression

i toasted my cylinder this weekend......thats bs...i broke it in and everything and it blew the base gasket between the case and spacer plate........thats bs.......i called esr adn they gave me a bunch of bs......they said that is very uncommon...but i know about four people that say that the spacer plate needs to be etched......they said they blew there's too.......then the rep...said "you know that your r is about 18 years old...." has anyone had this problem

my esr330 I'm using a 188, specail needle for it, and 55 pilot an runs a bit rich. I'd say start with a 180, 55 pilot and richer needle. those pro-x piston kits are expensive, so don't screw it up.
