300ex nerf bars..

my friend bought a 02 300ex.. It came with nerf bars that wern't on it, the owner said he didnt like the look of them..

We decided to put them on to save us from possibly slipping off the foot peg..

The right one went on perfect, the left one however, was a *****.. I finaly got it on there and the the bottom bolt lined up on the footpeg, tightened it down a lilbit, then tried to put the second one in.. It dosen't come close to lining up! its a mile off.. no but for real like half a inch.. I'v tried everything..

we've been riding around on it with one bolt in, and the other one in crooked so it at least holds the peg straight, but man this sucks!.. anyone have any ideas short of drilling the hole out sideways and taping it sideways?..

Anyone had problems with nerfs on a 300ex? I think were gonna drill the hole out crooked and tap it again.. :(

What kind of nerf bars are they i have ac raciing ones and they went on easy

I dont know the brand.. There red and they have a sticker on the left one, however the begining of the sticker is ripped off, but what I can read it says Steel Series..

I think they may be dg.. I have no clue however

if they are dg when they are on the nerf bars should be a little lower then the foot peg , the ac ones i got line up perfectly with the foot pegs

what do you mean a little lower then the footpeg?

there mounted underneith the peg, however the bolt holes that hold the left peg on dont line up..

I may take them off and put the left side on first, then the right..

yea dg ones are under foot pegs and ac ones connect to the front of the foot pegs

however that pic the other guy showed is not what the bars look like.. there solid red, the bars, and the cloth..

if the sticker on the side has any yellow on it there dg cause i saw a set and my friend has a set like that ??

saw the metal bar is red right ???
and the net is red right

they are the dg unless somebody spray painted or pced the bars red
