400ex race plastic, key & nuetral light relocation

Hello E Riders, I have a question regarding the location of keyed ignition & Neutral light after you've swapped out stock front plastic to a Maier race front. Are you guys removing the ignition or moving it to a different spot on the bike. I want another front end to race in the ITP Quadcross in Devore. I think the bikes look better with the race cut front w/lights removed. I rather get a new front piece instead of cutting the stock one and put head light covers to race.

my maiers came with a key ignition relocator that goes on the bars but no neutral light i just took it off

My friend just has his ziptied onto the wires and all that good stuff on the handle bars...works good

i ditched the neutral light and stuck the key in the black panal. on the right side

i just ordered fullbore ...

someone said that they come with a stainless relocator for your key ... I dont know about the neutral light tho ...

Don't drill your hole under your handlebars on eother side, theres a gas tank there;) . Found that out the hard way.

I put mine right under the on the left hand side

I drilled a 1inch hole in front of the tank on the right for my key.
And drilled a 5\8 hole on the fenderon the part thats close to the tank for my neutral light.

It holds the neutral light too. Whats weird, is that in my first set, it was aluminum, and the new one is stainless. Also, the new set of fullbore I got feels thicker, and stronger, than the first set. It doesnt have the mirror shine that the first set did, but its definitely not dull.

I ordered white fullbores ... is that stainless peice already drilled out? ... and where exactly did you mount yours? ... ne pics to help me?! :)

It just goes on your bar clamp. And yes, its already cut out. It might be laser cut, but im not sure?

i ditched the neutral light and just taped the ignition onto the clutch cable and it works fine(electrical tape so it blends in with the black wires)
